In this assignment I went to my grandmas house and took pictures of their pumpkins, and flowers, and apple trees. I was able to capture some of the typical fall nature like pumpkins and apples. f/5.6 1/250 ISO 400 In photoshop I edited this picture by adjusting the levels to bring the red out from the green leaves. During this assignment I practiced adjusting my aperture because I was struggling with the lighting. The sun was behind the clouds but when taking pictures of the apple trees my camera was pointed right at it.

In this assignment we took the original car image (the bottom) and edited it to make it look like the image at the top using step by step instructions. We retouched it by changing the levels to bring out the darker parts of the image. We also blacked out the background and retouched some spots on the car. Retouched image Original In this image we got to edit the car however we wanted. I made the levels very dark to make the car look bright red. I also tinted the windshield super dark. I also changed the white lights that were in the original to be a goldish yellow. In this assignment I learned how to pay attention to little details that make or break the image. One of the most important things to pay attention to is when you're out lining the car to fill in the background.
In this assignment I took pictures of my dog and tried to capture is personality. I was able to capture him all tired and sleepy, but also energetic and playful. You can see a wide variety of moods from my dog in just a few images. ISO: 160 Shutter Speed: 1/50 Aperture: f4.5 aTo edit this image I used the levels tool and exposure to make the image brighter and bring the dog out of the bckground This week I learned how to act quickly to capture the moments of a subject like a dog. They move so much and it's hard to see their personality come out in the images. I also focused on my angles to get the best perspective of him. I struggled with lighting this week because it was raining outside so out house was very dark so I got some more experience using flash.

I am going to take pictures of my dog and capture his true personality. My dog LOVES to play ball and run around so i'm hoping to capture some of those moments. He also loves to sleep so i picked some pictures that capture both a dog playing and sleeping for my inspiration. I am hoping to learn more about framing and apeture during this weeks assignment. They will both help me focus on the dog, and highlight him as the subject.
During this assignment I took pictures of me and my friends getting ready for homecoming. I captured them doing there hair and make-up and just us laughing and having a good time. f 3.5 |
